Stevens, Sharon – Jar with Rain and Mountains
This is an intricately painted jar by Sharon Stevens. She is a granddaughter of noted potter Lolita Garica. The jar is coil built and the entire surface is painted with squares. The triangles are mountains and the lines are the rain. They are painted in an alternating checkerboard pattern. They extend from the neck to the base. The jar is amazingly lightweight! It is signed on the bottom, “S. S”.
