Mary Evangeline “Vangie” Suina (b. 1959) learned to make pottery from her mother, Louise E. Suina (1939-1992).  This is one of her classic storytellers 12 children, with some holding drums and balls.  The mother has on a shawl which is also intricately painted on the back.  The figure is signed on the bottom, “Vangie Suina”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
