Eric Tafoya (b. 1969) learned to make pottery from his aunt Gwen Tafoya and his mother, Wanda Tafoya.  This jar is fully polished black and has a sienna rim. The entire surface of the piece is fully polished and etched with a series of hummingbirds and flowers.  His style of design gives the piece a modern appearance.  It is signed on the bottom.
