Jennifer Tafoya is known for her clay vessels and also her amazing animal figures! This is a larger clay bear figure. The bear is fully polished and designed.  One one side is a realistic bear, eagle, and mountain scene.  The opposite side has four realistic trout.  Along the back of the ber is a bear paw, lightning, and stars.  There is a lot of detail and realism on the piece.  Note how even the feet are etched with bear paws.  All the various colors are derived from natural clay slips.  It is signed “JM” and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.  Jennifer continues to be one of the leading innovative potters working today!
