This is a figurative clay black fox by Jennifer Tafoya.  The entire figure is fully polished and etched.  There is great detail on the back with feathers, an avanyu, clouds, and fox tracks.   The top of the back has a hand print.  Check out the face of the fox and the detail and especially the eyes!  Note there are even tracks etched onto the feet!  The ears, legs, and tail are matte clay.  The piece is signed on the bottom.  The colors are all derived from natural clay slips.
