Jennifer Moquino is known for her clay vessels and realistic designs which are etched into the clay.  This black jar is highly polished.  On the top are seven dragonflies.  The wings of each one are highly detailed.  They are surrounded by a mica slip and a below them is a triangular mountain design.  For a small piece, it has an amazing amount of detail! The jar is signed on the bottom. All the various colors are derived from natural clay slips.  Jennifer continues to be one of the leading innovative potters working today!
