Jennifer Moquino is known for her clay vessels and also her amazing animal figures. This bear is fired red and it is fully polished on its back.  There are two sections of feathers and two with butterflies. The butterflies are very highly detailed.  Look close and you can see the little wind swirls around the wings of the butterflies!  There are lightning and rain designs extending down the front legs. In the center is a bear paw track.  The bear paws are even etched on the feet!  All the various colors are derived from natural clay slips.  Jennifer continues to be one of the leading innovative potters working today!
