This tall jar by Ray Tafoya is fully polished.  The body of the piece has a flute player in a central medallion.  The top is flattened and has an etched eagle.  The remainder of the piece is fully etched with designs.  All the different colors are derived from natural clay slips. Note how many of the designs on the jar are similar to ones used today by his daughter, Jennifer Moquino.  The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
