$ 475.00

Gregorita Trujillo began making pottery in the 1940s.  She was not part of the “original seven” but quickly followed in their style. This jar is incised with a mudhead on each side.  She was known for her figurative designs and unique shapes.  This bowl has an unusual opening and the top and base are fully polished red. The center band is incised with a Mudhead and then slipped with white and red clays.  The neck and the base are polished with the deep red clay coloration of this period.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Gregorita Trujillo”. The jar is in good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
