Irene Tse-Pe (b. 1961) is a daughter of Dora Tse-Pe and Tse-Pe Gonzales and a granddaughter of Rose Gonzales.  This jar is incised with six bird wings around the neck of the jar.  The entire piece is fully polished and fired silvery black.  It is both an elegant shape and striking design.  The jar is signed, “Irene Tse-Pe”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  The jar has a blue ribbon from the 1975 Heard Indian Market, making her 15 when this jar was made!  While Irene no longer makes pottery, it is certainly a striking piece of her creative pottery!
