Leland Vallo was a son of noted potter, Marie Vallo, and the brother of Kim Vallo. He learned to make pottery from his mother and began making pottery in 1991. This jar is coil-built and intricately painted.  The neck of the jar is corrugated.  THe jar has rain, cloud, and feather designs across the surface.  It is very tightly painted for the size!  The jar is signed on the bottom, “L.  Vallo”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
