8"w x 7"h

$ 425.00

Leland Vallo was a son of noted potter, Marie Vallo, and the brother of Kim Vallo. He learned to make pottery from his mother and began making pottery in 1991. This is one of the large pieces of his pottery we have come across!  It is a large, coil built water jar.  The entire piece is fully painted. There are two medallions with deer and two with Deer Dancers.  The neck has feather and rain designs and there are wave designs just at the base of the neck.  The remainder of the jar is fully painted and below the shoulder is a classic Tularosa Swirl design in black-and-white.  The jar is signed on the bottom, “L.  Vallo”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
