Leland Vallo was a son of noted potter, Marie Vallo, and the brother of Kim Vallo. He learned to make pottery from his mother and began making pottery in 1991. This jar is coil-built, thin-walled, and intricately painted.  The jar has a fluted rim and it is fully painted. The designs include rain, cloud, lightning, and feather designs.  The jar is signed on the bottom, “L.  Vallo”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
