Yolanda Velarde Moquino (b. 1961) is a granddaughter of Rosita Velarde and Flora Naranjo and daughter of Frances Salazar.  She is married to James Moquino and is the mother of Camille Moquino and James Moquino, Jr. .  This jar is coil built and stone polished to a high shine.  Around the neck are plant and cloud designs.  The remainder of the jar is simply the highly polished surface!  The jar was traditionally fired black.  It is signed on the bottom, “Yolanda Velarde”.
