Victorino, Sandra – Large Jar with Star and Flower Designs

Sandra Victorino is a niece of noted potter Dorothy Torivio.    Sandra has her own unique style of “op-art”, where the patterns start small, then get larger, and then smaller again on the vessel.  This large jar has a wide shoulder and an elongated neck.  The neck has a feather design.  Around the shoulder are flower patterns.  The remainder of the jar is painted with thin line star patterns. The precision and detail of the lines are exceptional on this jar.  Each star matches the shape and position on the jar creating a visually striking jar with complex imagery and an exceptional connection of form and design.  The jar is signed, “Sandra Victorino”.
