Vicenta Vigil (1904-1993) was one of the few potters from Tesuque Pueblo.  She was a daughter of Silveria Duran and the wife of noted potter Manuel Vigil.  She was the mother of Marie Lovato.  This bowl is coil built and painted with three different colors of clay.  There are prayer feathers painted horizontally along with cloud and rain designs.  The inside of the bowl is slipped with mica.  It is signed Vicenta Vigil on the bottom. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
