Emma Yeppa (b. 1965) is known for her carved and polished pottery. She began making pottery at age 13 under the guidance of her mother, Ida Yepa.  She is a cousin of Marcella Yepa and a niece of Alvina Yepa.  This jar is coil built, carved and stone polished.  There are 18 ribs extending down from the neck to the base.  The ribs are divided so they alternate from red to tan.  The neck is polished tan.  The jar is signed on the bottom in the clay.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
