This miniature is part of a series created by Nancy Youngblood of her “micro-minis”.  They are miniature versions of her larger vessels.  Each piece is coil built, carved, stone polished and traditionally fired.  This is a water jar with eight ribs in her classic “S” Swirl.  There is a neck to the jar and she even polished on the inside of the neck!  Note for the size the depth of the carving of the ribs!  It is fired a deep black.  It is remarkable how she can do this on such a small surface!  The piece signed on the bottom in the clay “Nancy Y.”.  It is from 2021.
