Christine Chinana Tosa (b. 1950) learned to make pottery from her mother, Anacita Chinana.  She was equally inspired by the work of her Mother-in-Law, Persingula Tosa.  Each piece is coil-built, stone-polished, and painted. She is most famous for her wedding vases.  “I always start out making bowls, and before I know it, I have a wedding vase.”  This large wedding vase is fully polished red.  It is painted black on both sides with large birds and flowers on the sides.  It is signed, “C. Tosa”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
