Tammy Garcia is known for her amazing pottery and the creativity of her bronzes. This is his her most recent bronze tile.  It is carved in the same style she carves in her pottery, with various depths and layers.  It is entitled “Flower Ensemble“.  It has a stylized flower as the main design, along with smaller flowers and plants.  The various patinas create the appearance of turquoise!  The bronze is set on a matte in a frame, as pictured.  The piece is signed on the side.  It is the 3/28 in the edition of the bronze.

“The Ensemble series includes flowers, dragonflies, and butterflies.  I wanted to capture the feel of nature and a garden…how it feels to be surrounded by such natural beauty.  The pieces have my relief style of carving, with layers of design.  I feel like I’m peering through the garden, capturing a glimpse of the wing of a butterfly or a moment of pause with a dragonfly in mid-air.  Nature surrounds us and there is a feeling of peering into the past.  Knowing that the insects and flowers were seen by my ancestors here in the Southwest and, just like me, they took a moment to pause and take in the beauty of the moment. That is my “ensemble”..an ensemble of time, beauty, and spiritual connection the world around us.”.   Tammy Garcia
