Kylie Patricio (b. 1999) is a daughter of noted potter Robert Patricio.  This jar is coil-built and thin-walled. It has a classic Acoma water jar shape and a high shoulder and short neck.  The jar is painted with bee-weed and clay slips.  The neck of the jar has rain clouds.  Around the body of the jar are large stars that are painted red.  Separating them are thin-lined rain patterns.  The bottom is painted red.  The jar is a creative use of form and design.  The jar is signed, “K. Patricio”.  It is exciting to see such excellent work by young Acoma potters!
