Felisha Patricio (b. 1997) is a daughter of noted potter Robert Patricio.  This jar is coil-built from native clay and thin-walled. It has a classic jar shape with a low shoulder and long neck.  Felisha said this is the largest jar she has made to date!  It is painted with bee-weed to create the iconic “lightning” pattern. The design extends from the rim to near the base.  It has a modernist appearance based on a very traditional design.  This lightning pattern can be seen in the work of Lucy Lewis and Marie Z. Chino.  The design is fluid and visually dynamic.  Simply stunning!  The jar is signed, “Felisha P.”.
