7"w x 3.5"h

$ 550.00

Dominguita Sisneros Naranjo is a daughter of noted Ohkay Owingeh potter Tomasita Montoya and a sister of Rosita de Herrera. This is a classic bowl that is coil-built from native clay. The inside is smooth and the exterior has a polished red rim and base.  The central band has incised mountain and cloud designs.  This style is inspired by the ancient Potsuwi’i pottery.  The lines on the bowl are sharp and exact.  After they were incised into the clay, the incised areas were slipped with mica.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Dominguita Naranjo”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
