Virginia Garcia is a sister of noted potters Tina Garcia and Greg Garcia.  While she no longer makes pottery, much like her siblings, she was known for her traditional forms and creative firings.  This is a classic water jar that is coil-built and fully polished.  There is a double shoulder or “Rainbow Ridge” on the jar.  It is where the clay is pushed out from the interior.  It is fully polished and fired red. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, ‘Virginia Garcia”.
