Navasie, Fawn Garcia – Long Neck Jar with Lightning Design

7.5"w x 6.5"h

$ 675.00

Fawn Garcia Navasie (b. 1959) is also known as “Little Fawn”.  She is a daughter of Eunice “Fawn” Navasie and a sister of Dawn and Dolly Navasie.  This jar is coil-built and stone-polished. The jar has a wide shoulder and an elongated neck.  The top of the shoulder is painted with a complex lightning and rain design.  It has red clay areas along with black bee-weed painted designs and even stippled areas.  The jar was traditionally fired, so blushes are on the surface.  It is signed on the bottom, “Fawn” and a deer track, which is how she signed her pieces after her mother, Eunice “Fawn” Navasie (1920-1992) passed away.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
