Cajero, Jr., Joe – Koshari Clay Figure with Dog and Canteen (3 Pieces)
$ 2,800.00
Joe Cajero, Jr. (b. 1970) is the son of Ester Cajero and great-grandson of Petro Romero. He began painting and in 1989 began making figures in clay. Over the years, he has made both clay and bronze pieces. He is famous for his clay Koshari clown figures with smiling faces and creative antics. This large clay figure is sitting with his leg outstretched. Next to him is his dog and he is holding a bowl of dog bones! The bowl and dog bones are adhered to the figure. The dog is separate. There is a canteen with water for the dog that sits next to them. Check out the detail in the figure and the face! Definitely one of my favorites of his work! The piece is signed, “Joe Cajero”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repairs.
