Sharon Naranjo Garcia (b. 1951) is a granddaughter of Christina Naranjo. She learned to make pottery from her grandmother and is known for her traditional style of pottery. This is a sharp shoulder water jar with an elongated neck and turned-out rim. The neck has been pushed in to create a swirling style. The rim is fluted and undulating in a manner that is often called a “raindrop rim”. The jar was fired a deep black coloration. It is signed on the bottom, “Sharon Naranjo-Garcia”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
