Rochelle Jewel Medlock (b. 2005) is the daughter of noted potter Autumn Borts-Medlock. The piece is coil-built from native clay, carved, and traditionally fired. The open bow has a polished rim. The center of the bowl has an incised star and there are four additional smaller stars cut into the clay. The star in the center is slipped with mica. The outside of the bowl is matte. It is signed, “Rochelle Jewel”. It is exciting to see her continue a legacy of clay!
