Brian Chino was a son of noted potter Edna Chino and a brother of Jay Vallo and Corrine Chino. He began making pottery in 1988. In less than ten years, he made a name for himself as a potter renowned for very tightly painted miniatures. The small seedpot is fully painted. On the top is a starburst design. Around the sides are four star medallions. Note how thin each line is painted! His work was always exceptional for the size. This piece is signed, “B. Chino” on the bottom. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.

Brian Chino, “Kee-Yu-Wy-Sde-Wa”, was a son of noted potter Edna Chino and a brother of Jay Vallo and Corrine Chino. He began making pottery in 1988. he learned his pottery skills from his mother. She taught him all the fundamentals of making pottery. Brian is well known for his detailed fine line designs on miniature pottery.
