This is a small bowl by Les Namingha from 1993.  The jar is made with traditional Hopi clay and painted with bee-weed and polished red areas.  The bowl has a series of eight triangular mountains painted on the shoulder. There are eight red sunbursts extending down from the rim and they are fully polished.  The bowl is tightly painted for the size.  It was traditionally fired to create the blushes on the surface.  The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.   It is signed, “Les Namingha”.
