Diane Lewis-Garcia is known for her tightly painted miniature pottery. This is one of her very intricately painted seedpots that is oval in shape. The top is painted with a variety of Acoma designs combined with a Mimbres lizard, a Mimbres bee, a Crane and fish, along with a Pueblo flute player. The piece is painted with bee-weed (black) and a variety of colors of natural clay slips. The coloration and detail create a very striking piece! It is signed on the bottom, “D. Lewis”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
