Navasie, Dawn – Large Jar with Rainclouds and Swirling Birds
$ 1,100.00
Dawn Navasie (b. 1961) is a daughter of Eunice “Fawn” Navasie and a sister Fawn “Little Fawn” and Dolly Navasie. This wide shoulder jar has a round body and a short neck. The jar is coil-built and made from native clay. There are clouds painted around the neck of the jar. The body of the jar has swirling birds. It is a striking and detailed design that flows over the shoulder but also leaves open space for the design to breathe. The jar was traditionally fired. It is signed on the back, “Dawn Navasie”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
