Snowflake Flower (Stephanie Rhodes) was known for her traditional style Cochiti figures. She began making pottery in 1977. This piece is entitled, “Coyote and the Winter Shawl”. There is a coyote figure holding five children. The piece is highly detailed and fully painted. Note the feather on the head of the head of the coyote. She put this on every piece she made while her daughter Patsy was in a coma until 1999. The figure is signed on the bottom, “Snowflake Flower”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.

Snowflake Flower is a granddaughter of Estephinita Herrera and a daughter of Berina Cordero. She is a sister of Ada Suina, Joe Cordero, and Mary Cordero. She learned to make pottery from her mother. She began making pottery in 1977. She is known for her traditional figure and especially her coyote figures. She is also known for the clay prayer feathers which she puts on all her figures which she began while her daughter was in a 16 year coma from which she recovered in 1999.
