Tso, Jr., Damon – Large Clay Badger with Teec-Nos-Pos Rug Designs
6.5" long
$ 400.00
Damon Tso, Jr., is a self-taught potter. He began making pottery in 2003 and each piece is coil-built and made from clay that he sources from near his home in Buffalo Springs, New Mexico. This is his second clay badger. It is stone polished to a smooth surface and then painted with a clay slip. The face is charming and he painted a design from a Teec-Nos-Pos rug on the back of the badger! The vertical polishing creates the idea of fur! It is charming in person! The badger was traditionally fired. It is signed, “Damon Tso, Jr.” on the bottom.
