Lewis, Emma – 9″ Wide Four Color Jar with Parrots and Rainbows (1980s)

9"w x 6.5"h

$ 1,100.00

Emma Lewis was a daughter of noted potter Lucy M. Lewis.  This is one of the largest pieces of her work we have had in the gallery. The jar is made from native clay and painted with bee-weed and various clay slips.  There are rain clouds around the rim and an undulating rainbow.  There are large four color parrots with flowers on the jar.  It is signed on the bottom, “Emma Lewis”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
