Gloria Garcia is known for her miniature pottery.  She is a daughter of Petra Gutierrez and the sister of Lois Gutierrez, Minnie Vigil, and Thelma Talachy.  This is a larger piece of her pottery.  It is fully polished and fired a deep, glassy black. The bowl has four horses, including a Paint Horse and mustang. There are five quail in flight.  The quail are highlighted with white clay.  There is also a sun design highlighted with red clay.   Around the rim is a cloud pattern.  The polishing is exceptional with a high glossy surface.  This piece is signed on the bottom with her Tewa name “GoldenRod”.
