This large plate by John Gonzales is from 1999. John was well known for his plates and their intricately etched designs. This plate is matte tan with an incised designs. There is an avanyu in the center surrounded by tightly etched feathers. In the center there is a single inset piece of turquoise surrounded by hei-shi beads. There is an additional inset piece of turuqoise for the eye of the avanyu. The plate is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. It is signed on the back, “John Gonzales”.
