Karen Kahe Charley (b. 1951) is a daughter of Marcella Kahe, from Shichomovi, First Mesa, Hopi.  She learned to make pottery from her mother.  Karen began to make pottery around 1980.  She is known for her traditional Hopi-Tewa pottery that is inspired by the pottery shards of Sikyatki, Awatovi, and Payupki.  Over the years she has won numerous awards for her pottery at Santa Fe Indian market and the Heard Indian Market.
