Marcia Fritz Ricky is often better known by her hallmark and Hopi name, “Ant Woman” or “Flying Ant Woman” Her pottery style was inspired by the pre-historic St. John’s (1175-1300) style of pottery.  She was Hopi from Walpi, the western village on top of First Mesa.
