Kwani Povi Winder is a young artist with a passion for learning and creating. Her paintings are characterized by vibrant colors, deep emotions, and loose brushstrokes. Kwani seeks to explore her Santa Clara Pueblo Tewa heritage through painting and draws on her religious beliefs when developing and painting a native figure. Through her paintings, she seeks to preserve, share, and educate about her unique heritage.
Kwani graduated with a BFA in Oil Painting from Brigham Young University-Idaho in 2013 and has been painting professionally ever since. She currently resides in Ogden, UT, with her husband, Dallen, and two daughters.
