Wanda Aragon (b. 1948) is a daughter of noted potter Frances Torivio and a sister of Lilly Salvador. She is also known by her name in Acoma, Dzinats’ituwits’a. She is known for her traditional style of Acoma pottery. Each piece is coil-built using native clay and painted with bee-weed and natural clay slips. This is a thin-walled water jar. It is fully painted with figures around the neck of the jar. Around the sides is a rain and mist design. The is creative in design and coloration. It is signed on the bottom “W. Aragon”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
