Anthony Baca is known for his deeply carved pottery. He often works with his wife, Johanna. They learned to make pottery from Corn Moquino. This piece is coil-built and deeply carved with clouds and rain. It is fully polished and fired a glassy black. There is a single inset piece of turquoise above the cloud design. The piece is signed, “Johanna and Anthony Baca”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
