David Baca is the son of noted potter Angela Baca. He is known for his melon ribbed pottery. This red bowl has 32 carved ribs. Each rib is fully polished, and the space between is matte. The matte band helps to accentuate the depth of the carving. The bowl is signed on the bottom in the clay, “David Baca”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
