Leona Baca (b. 1958) is a daughter of noted potter Angela Baca. She is the sister of Alvina Baca, David Baca, and Daryl Baca.  This small melon bowl has twelve ribs.  The entire piece is fully polished and it was traditionally fired silvery black coloration.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Leona Baca”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
