This is a classic polychrome bowl by Blue Corn.  She is often best known for her polychrome pottery and her creative use of various clay slips on her pottery. She learned to make pottery from Maria Martinez at San Ildefonso.  This bowl has a round shape and it is fully polished whitish-cream in coloration.  It is painted with a rain and cloud pattern that encircles the entire piece. It is one of her few pieces that uses so much green clay slip for the designs.  It was traditionally fired.  The jar is signed on the bottom “Blue Corn, San Ildefonso”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
