The top of the shoulder has an avanyu (water serpent) painted with thin lines.  It is a complex but also unusual design to see on Acoma pottery.  It is highlighted with red clay.   It is signed on the bottom “Barbara and Joseph Cerno”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
