Carolyn Concho is well known for her beautifully painted pottery using Mimbres animals, reptiles, and insects. This wide jar has a sharp shoulder and a short neck. There are Mimbres lizards on the top and even climbing out of the neck! There are additional lizards on the bottom. On one side are geometric bird and rain designs. All the different colors are from natural clay slips. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Carolyn Concho”.
