3"w x 4.5"h

$ 275.00

Carlos Dunlap was a son of Carmelita Dunlap and a grandson of Juanita Montoya Vigil, the youngest sister of Maria Martinez.  He was a brother to Jeannie Dunlap, Cynthia Dunlap, Linda Dunlap, and Martha Appleaf Fender.   This is an unusual piece that he made when he was only 9 years old. The collectors who owned this piece were friends of the family and purchased it from Carmelita.  The piece is a black fired coyote.  The coyote is matte with black polished rectangles on the body.  It is a creative piece and a distinctive part of his history in clay.  It is signed, “Carlos Dunlap 9 Years Old” in the clay on the bottom.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
