Jody Folwell is known for her creative pottery shapes and designs. This is a spectacular jar from the 1980s. The jar has an assymmetric rim that is pushed into the neck. The neck is carved with blocks, representing the Pueblo world, and the remainder is rag polished. The jar has a combination of both wild horses and Rez dogs. This is part of a series Jody made in the 1980s to bring focus to the Rez dogs, that they were left to run wild, like wild horses. It is a spectacular design on an amazing shaped and detailed jar! This is certainly Jody Folwell at her very best. It is signed, “Jody Folwell”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
