Folwell, Kaa – “Too Tradish” Raindrop Rim Water Jar (2026)
$ 2,200.00
Kaa Folwell is one of the exciting young potters working today. She is a daughter of Polly Rose Folwell and a granddaughter of Jody Folwell. This is one of her more traditional jars with a round body and a fluted or “raindrop” rim. The jar has a Santa Clara woman carrying a water jar on her head painted on one side. Around the shoulder of the jar is grafitti writing of “Too Tradish”. The remainder of the jar has stylized painted landscape with splashes and swirls of color and her marbling effect. It is an elegant shape with a great textural feel. It is signed on the bottom, “Kaa”. It is a beautiful balance of color, form, and design.
